The PABSEC Delegation composed of: Mr. Musa Guliyev, Member of the PABSEC Azerbaijani Delegation, Mr. Igor Becic, Head of the PABSEC Serbian Delegation and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the Monitoring Observer Mission of the Presidential Elections in Georgia, on 28 October 2018. In the framework of this visit, the PABSEC Delegation visited several polling stations in Tbilisi and verified the regularity and observance of the electoral procedure. The PABSEC Delegation asserted that the presidential elections were held in a democratic and a transparent spirit, all the standards were observed, the electorate was very active and the will of the people of Georgia in the elections was fully expressed. The first preliminary results of the presidential elections in Georgia showed that none of the 25 candidates won more than 50 percent of the votes to secure the victory and they will face a second round of presidential elections. The final results of the First Round of the Presidential Elections in Georgia will be announced until 15 November, and the Second Round of the Presidential Elections will be held not later than 2 December 2018.
