Working visit of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Belgrade, 7 May 2019
On 7 May 2019, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to Belgrade and met with Mrs. Maja Gojkovic, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. The Secretary General informed the Speaker on the current activities of the PABSEC in the framework of the Azerbaijani Presidency, and on the organizational and preparatory work for the PABSEC gatherings in the first half of 2019. The Secretary General conveyed a personal invitation to the 53rd General Assembly in Baku on 20-21 June 2019 from Mr. Ogtay Asadov, PABSEC President, Chairman of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the conversation, the issue of organising a committee meeting next year in Serbia was discussed. The Speaker of the Parliament assured that the necessary measures will be taken to organize this event at a high level. Mrs. Maja Gojkovic expressed support to the PABSEC activities and highly appreciated the work of the PABSEC International Secretariat. Mr. Igor Becic, Head of the PABSEC Serbian delegation was also present at the meeting.
