Visit of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, to the Headquarters of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Istanbul, 25 August 2023
On 25 August 2023, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the Headquarters of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Istanbul and met Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, OTS Secretary General, upon his invitation. During the meeting, the OTS Secretary General presented information about the activities of the Organization, the upcoming plans, and development of the cooperation among the member states and the neighbouring regions. The PABSEC Secretary General thanked Ambassador Omuraliev for the invitation and informed him about the current activities of the Assembly and the results of the PABSEC Summit and the PABSEC General Assembly held in Ankara in May 2023 dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Assembly. Mr. Hajiyev also informed about the planned events in the framework of the celebration of the PABSEC 30th Anniversary and emphasized constructive cooperation with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic States (TURKPA). The sides noted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the PABSEC, OTS, and the TURKPA. At the end of the meeting, the Secretaries General exchanged memorable gifts.
