Participation of the PABSEC Secretary General Mr. Asaf Hajiyev in the Meeting of the BSEC Senior Officials Committee, Istanbul, April 16, 2025 The PABSEC Secretary General Mr. Asaf Hajiyev participated in the meeting of the BSEC Senior Officials Committee, which was held at the BSEC Organization Headquarters in Istanbul on April 16, 2025. The meeting was attended by representatives of the BSEC Member States, BSEC Related Bodies, as well as BSEC observers and sectoral dialogue partners. The meeting was chaired by the representative of the Azerbaijan BSEC Chairmanship, Head of the Regional Cooperation Division of the Economic Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Emin Mammadov. The Committee heard the report of the BSEC PERMIS Secretary General Ambassador Lazar Comanescu on the activities of the BSEC PERMIS, as well as the information on the meetings of the BSEC Working Groups held in the first half of 2025. The Committee discussed the issue of interaction between the BSEC and the EU and heard the information on the work of the BSEC Related Bodies. PABSEC Secretary General Mr. Asaf Hajiyev informed the participants of the meeting about the results of the PABSEC Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development, which was held in Bucharest on 9 April 2025. He also briefed the participants on the upcoming work of the PABSEC in the first half of 2025 within the framework of the Azerbaijani PABSEC Chairmanship and emphasized that the PABSEC General Assembly will be held in Baku on 17-19 June 2025. He emphasized the importance of interaction between the BSEC and the PABSEC and expressed hope for the continuation of constructive cooperation.
