65th Meeting of the PABSEC Committee on Economic and Development Policy, Belgrade (the Republic of Serbia), 14 October 2025
The 65th Meeting of the PABSEC Committee on Economic Policy and Development was held in Belgrade (the Republic of Serbia) on 14 October 2025, at the invitation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. The Meeting was attended by the national delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Türkiye and Ukraine, as well as a representative of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat and members of the PABSEC International Secretariat. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Oleksandr Marikovskyi, Chairman of the Committee, member of the PABSEC Ukrainian delegation. The opening ceremony was addressed by Ms. Marina Ragus, Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Ms. Jasmina Obradović, Head of the PABSEC Serbian Delegation, Mr. Fatih Donmez, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation, Member of the Committee, Mr. Oleksandr Marikovskyi, Chairman of the PABSEC Committee on Economic and Development Policy and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General. The Committee adopted the draft Report and Recommendation 205/2025 “Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development in the BSEC Region - Economic Aspects”, which will be submitted to the 66th Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly. The Committee took note of the information on the activities of the BSEC Organization presented by Mr. Kenan Murtuzov, Executive Manager of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat. The next 66th Meeting of the Committee will be held in spring 2026 in the Republic of Moldova. It was decided to discuss “Digital Transformation in the BSEC Member States” as the main topic of the Meeting. Mr. Marius Humelnicu, member of the PABSEC Romanian Delegation was appointed as a Rapporteur on this issue.
