Participation of the PABSEC Secretary General in the 4th Meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Asian Cultural Council (ACC), 17 October 2025, Baku (Republic of Azerbaijan)
On 17 October 2025, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the 4th Meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Asian Cultural Council (ACC), held in Baku. The event was devoted to the theme: “From National Diversity to Global Solidarity: The Role of Culture in the New World Order.” The meeting brought together members of parliament, representatives of parliamentary assemblies, and political parties from Asian countries. Participants exchanged views on how cultural exchanges and cooperation can foster greater understanding and solidarity among the states. The discussions also focused on identifying and promoting concrete strategies for leveraging culture as a vital instrument for sustainable development. In his address, Mr. Hajiyev presented the activities of PABSEC and underlined the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary collaboration, cultural dialogue, and solidarity among countries. He emphasized that these elements are essential pillars for prosperity and deeper cooperation within both regional and bilateral frameworks. On the sidelines of the meeting, Mr. Hajiyev met with Mr. Chung Eui-Yong, President of ICAPP and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. The two sides discussed the perspectives to further enhance the cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two Organizations.
