On 20 October 2022, the Meeting of the Secretaries General of Parliaments, was held in Strasbourg, at the Palace of Europe, and it was attended by the Secretaries General of the Parliaments of the Member States of the Council of Europe and by international parliamentary assemblies. At this event, the PABSEC was represented by Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.

On 18 October 2022, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the Fourth International Parliamentary Conference of the OSCE PA Silk Road Group “Strengthening Connectivity to Ensure Energy and Food Security in Times of Crisis”, organized together with the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye in Istanbul.

On 12 October 2022, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the 9th Green Energy Investment Forum within the framework of the International Scientific Conference on Energy and Climate Change, which was organized in Athens by the Energy Policy and Development Centre (KEPA) and the Black Sea economic cooperation (BSEC). The Forum was attended by the representatives of the governments and academic circles of the BSEC Member States, as well as the BSEC-Related Bodies.

On 7 October 2022, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the International Conference “CIS Convention on Standards for Democratic Elections: Open Space for International Cooperation”, which was attended by more than 200 participants: parliamentarians, representatives of international parliamentary delegations, election administration bodies, experts, and scientists.

The PABSEC Delegation, composed of Mr. Musa Guliyev, PABSEC Vice-President, member of the PABSEC Azerbaijani Delegation, Chairman of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee, Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, member of the PABSEC Georgian Delegation and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the observation mission for parliamentary elections in Sofia (Republic of Bulgaria) on 2 October 2022. The Delegation was accompanied by Mrs. Pavlina Lozanova, Secretary of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee.

Working visit of the PABSEC Secretary General to the Republic of Serbia, 22-23 September 2022

On 22-23 September 2022, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to Belgrade and had meetings in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The PABSEC Secretary General was accompanied by Ms. Milena Ljubinkovic, Secretary of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs Committee.

The PABSEC Participation in the 29th Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Birmingham, 2-6 July 2022

Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, attended the 29th Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, organized by the Parliament of the United Kingdom, at the Birmingham International Conference Centre on 2-6 July 2022. Around 250 parliamentarians, representatives of international parliamentary organizations and experts took part in this event.
